Pharmacists work closely with healthcare professionals, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies to ensure the safe and effective use of medication in a hospital/outpatient setting. This Clinical Investigational Drug Service Pharmacist will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to implement clinical trials involving investigational drugs with an emphasis on ensuring patient safety.

  • Overseeing compounding of complex therapies, including gene therapy and first in human trials, utilizing a variety of unique methods of delivery.

  • Providing expertise on drug interactions, dosing regimens, and adverse effects of investigational medications.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in the conduct of research studies.

  • Formulating budgets, developing templates for computerized prescriber order entry, and meeting with study monitors throughout the lifespan of the trial.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus up to one year of post‑degree course work and: two to three years general pharmacy experience, or one year directly related pediatric experience. Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience is preferred. Doctorate degree in Pharmacy is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of relevant drug safety experience is highly preferred.

  • Current license and registration by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.

  • Familiarity with EPIC/BEACON software ideal

This is a day position, with every 4th weekend required
